The 2012 Seminar Series presents eleven classes about the changing environmental landscape, from sea level rise to the need for renewable energy, and the challenges those changes pose for all of us.

The 2012 Seminar Series is comprised of four program modules. Each module consists of two or three seminars which delve into specific topics of concern, including
- A Wake Up Call, a substantive overview of the major human-caused conditions giving rise to climate instability (3 seminars),
- Nature's Capital: Ecosystem Services, exploring Nature's life-supporting services on which humans, wildlife, and plants depend (3 seminars),
- Trashing the Planet, an examination of how human consumption patterns are undermining our ability to survive on the planet (2 seminars), and
- It's Up to Us!, providing guidance on how Marin residents can make changes in their lives to help sustain our world for generations to come (3 seminars).
The Seminar Series has begun!
The 2012 Seminar Series began on January 28 and ends on May 5, 2012.
Classes are held on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Hospice by the Bay at Larkspur Landing, in the Conference Room on the second floor.
The entire class schedule is shown in the box to the right. There is a one or two week break between each of the four modules, when no classes are held.

Attendance at eight or more seminars is required to graduate and qualifies students to become a member of the Environmental Forum. Graduates of the Seminar Series will receive a free 2012 membership.
Note: Two previously published class dates have changed in the Nature's Capital module. The 'Air' class will be held on February 25 (not March 10), and the 'Water' class will be held on March 10 (not February 25).

There are three ways to attend the Seminar Series. Depending on your interests or schedule, you may
- Enroll in the entire series of 11 seminars,
- Attend by module, or
- Attend by individual seminar.

Current 2012 Members
Discounted member rates are offered to Environmental Forum of Marin graduates whose 2012 membership dues are current. If you have not yet renewed your 2012 membership, you can do so online and receive the discounted member tuition. Annual membership is only $35, less than the cost of one class at the non-member rate!

Members! Bring a friend to a class and they attend their first class for FREE!
Non-Members
Members of the public are especially encouraged to attend the Seminar Series!
You do not have to be a resident of Marin to attend the series as the curriculum is designed for anyone concerned about adapting to the changing environmental landscape and choosing sustainable practices in their lives.
Non-members include past members whose membership has lapsed.
