EFM's graduate, Class of VIII, will be honored at a special Marin Conservation League luncheon and book signing on Friday, August 25th at the Embassy Suites, San Rafael. FREE Environmental Film

Green Planet Films, has free screenings once a month in addition to their rental service for environmentally-related dvds. They will give a free showing of "the Power of Community" at Marin Outdoor Living in Greenbrae, Aug. 23rd. 6 - 9pm.

Sustainable San Rafael
|
|
Sustainable San Rafael, headed by Kiki La Porta(32) and Sue Spofford(32) has been working with San Rafael Planning Director, Bob Brown, in order to press for green building policy in SR to reduce GHG production. Brown conducted a Study Session in July for council members and Mayor Boro, who not only welcomed the information but further requested that Brown look into commercial and municipal building as well as single- and multi-family residential for a green building policy recommendation to the Planning Commission this fall.
